Terms of Service

By accessing or using MeinBlock ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MeinBlock.

**Age Requirement**: You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By using this Service, you represent that you are at least 16 years old.

**Future Changes**: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

MeinBlock is a task management and time allocation service designed for neurodivergent founders and freelancers.

**Features Include**:
- Task creation and management
- Time block allocation (quarter-day chunks)
- Project and category organization
- Kanban board visualization
- Daily and weekly planning tools
- Progress tracking and analytics

**Service Availability**: We strive for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

**Beta Features**: Certain features may be labeled as "beta" or "experimental" and may be changed or discontinued without notice.

**Account Creation**: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

**Magic Link Authentication**: We use passwordless authentication via email magic links. You are responsible for securing access to your email account.

**Account Security**: You agree to:
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Not share your magic link with others
- Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

**Account Termination**: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

**Prohibited Activities**:
- Using the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service or servers
- Transmitting viruses, malware, or malicious code
- Scraping, data mining, or harvesting user data
- Impersonating any person or entity
- Spamming or sending unsolicited communications

**API Usage**: If we provide API access, you agree to our API terms including rate limits and acceptable use guidelines.

**Content Violations**: We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

**Consequences of Violation**: We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of this Acceptable Use Policy.

**Our Property**: The Service, including all content, features, and functionality (the "Service Content") is owned by MeinBlock and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

**Your Content**: You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (tasks, projects, notes). You grant us a license to use, store, and process your content solely to provide the Service.

**Limited License**: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or business use.

**Restrictions**: You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Use our trademarks without prior written consent
- Remove any proprietary notices from the Service

**Feedback**: Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without obligation.

**Free Tier**: Currently, MeinBlock offers a free tier with limited features. Free tier usage is subject to fair use guidelines.

**Future Paid Plans**: We may introduce paid subscription plans with additional features. Any material changes to pricing will be notified at least 30 days in advance.

**Payment Terms**: For paid subscriptions:
- Charges are billed in advance on a recurring basis
- You authorize us to charge your payment method
- Prices may change with 30 days notice
- No refunds for partial months except as required by law

**Auto-Renewal**: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

**Cancellation**: You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

**Refund Policy**: We generally do not offer refunds, but you may request a refund within 14 days of an unexpected charge by contacting support@meinblock.app.

**By You**: You may terminate your account at any time by using the "Delete Account" feature in settings or by contacting us.

**By Us**: We may suspend or terminate your account for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Extended period of inactivity (12+ months)
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Technical or security reasons

**Effect of Termination**:
- Your right to use the Service ends immediately
- We will delete your personal data within 30 days (except where required by law)
- You remain liable for any charges incurred prior to termination
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue

**AS-IS SERVICE**: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

**LIMITATION**: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEINBLOCK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
- LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE
- DAMAGES FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT

**LIABILITY CAP**: Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

**EXCEPTIONS**: Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

**Governing Law**: These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction - to be specified based on company location].

**Arbitration**: Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

**Electronic Communications**: You agree to receive communications from us electronically (email, in-app notifications).
